After graduating from Meiji University and Digital Hollywood University in CG and visual design in 2002, Hideki Watanabe joined Works Corporation. He has been the editor in charge of CGWorld, Japan's most influential 3D design publication, since 2007.

While most visitors to Tokyo's grandiose Roppongi Hills complex experience awe, Naotake Maeda's feeling is a mixture of pride and regret. As one of the architects at Mori Building he remembers Tokyo's most stunning property development when it was still a CAD file. Maeda-san's pursuit of perfection has won him awards in interior and display design. He is currently in charge of exhibition design at Mori Art Museum.

Tomoyuki Sugiyama

TOMOYUKI SUGIYAMA
PRESIDENT - DIGITAL HOLLYWOOD UNIVERSITY

Whether battling Japanese bureaucracy for recognition of digital arts as college-worthy curriculum, or working through countless forums, associations and councils, or simply equipping classrooms with refrigerators for midnight oil-burning students, Sugiyama-san is a tireless champion of CG in Japan. He founded Digital Hollywood in 1994, after returning from a 3-year tenure at MIT’s Media Lab armed with a firm vision of a networked digital society. The school, now a certified university, is a major source of CG talent for Japan’s creative industry.

RYO ASAKURA

After graduating from Tama Art University, Ryo embarked on a genre-spanning journey of artistic self-discovery. He currently works in web design production, while remaining active on the Tokyo VJ, CG, motion graphics scene.

ISAKU OGURA

An associate Professor at Digital Hollywood University where he focuses on talent promotion, Isaku-san is also an active CG designer. His recent works include contributions to "Galaxy Express 999" and "DEATH NOTE" movies, TV program "Tetsuwan DASH", Toshinobu Kubota’s "SUPER DUPER Vol.7” and SMAP’s "URASUMA" DVD productions.  He is a winner of the eAT KANAZAWA special prize.

JESSE FRANKLIN

Jesse Franklin is a New York-based artist specializing in 3D for motion graphics. A graduate of LA's Otis College of Art and Design, Jesse has produced special effects, photo-real 3D and motion graphics for clients in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. In 2006 Jesse and Blind Studios created Gnarles Barkley's " Crazy " music video with ink animations and After Effects. He is currently living in Tokyo to work on a cartoon series with a Japanese production company.
