ENTRY INFO

CAN ANYONE APPLY?

For sure. All you need are a portfolio (or a reel, for all you mographers out there) and nerves of steel.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

The selection process happens in two stages.

(1) Cut&Paste reviews all entries received during the Call for Competitors.
(2) Based on the quality of the submissions, top candidates are invited to participate in Test Rounds.

Don't know what a Test Round is?

Educate yourself here.

IMPORTANT:

If you want to compete in this year's competition, you must submit your entry by the regional deadline and attend a Test Round in your city.

US

Deadline: September 17th
Test Rounds: September 18th and 19th

EUROPE

Deadline: October 29th
Test Rounds: varies by city

ASIA | LATIN AMERICA

Deadline: November 5th
Test Rounds: varies by city

*Local teams may conduct test rounds on dates slightly differing or in addition to these dates. Local teams will contact select candidates directly.

Once Test Rounds have taken place, a final selection of competitors for each design competition will be made. Eight designers will be chosen for the 2D competition; four will be chosen for each of 3D and Motion Design. Competitors will be announced shortly after each set of Test Rounds.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE PEOPLE?

Stage 1: We look for strong portfolios/reels. Stage 2: We look for solid performances and good personalities at Test Rounds. Impress us with your work and help us understand you can work under pressure.
